Mary is an Integrative Psychological Therapist, with a special interest in spirituality, identity and transcultural approaches to mental health and the impact of trauma. She is currently pursuing her PhD alongside working in private clinical practice, exploring Black British men’s perception of therapy. Mary is passionate about adequate psychological services for the Black community in London and promoting therapy to those that would benefit from engaging the most.

Mary’s professional background is within the private, public, and voluntary sector, working with individuals presenting with multiple emotional and mental difficulties. Mary specialises in one-off therapy sessions, interpersonal relational difficulties, particularly romantic relationships, and multicultural and ethnic minority.

Mary is a board member of the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR) local UK chapter with a particular hope to promote and encourage Black British students to pursue higher education and encourage therapists/counsellors to become research practitioners, researching phenomenon within their communities.
