Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, Lifestyle Coach and Reiki Practitioner
Leoni Cachia (she/ her, they/ them) has been a co-presenter for the Community Trauma Conference UK since 2020. She is a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist working with the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at UCLH. Prior to this Leoni was the wellbeing lead for the Enfield IAPT service of 80+ clinicians whilst working as a psychological wellbeing practitioner and supervised mental health practitioners in training.
Leoni is an Okuden/ level 2 trained Reiki practitioner and the founder of Leoni Cachia Holistic Care; a self-care oriented organisation helping individuals achieve lifestyle harmony and manage stress. Leoni considers self-care and relaxation acts of civil disobedience; essential for staying well whilst fighting intersectional systems of oppression, injustice and inequality.
Leoni encompasses a 9 year career in healthcare and education, previously working and volunteering along the lifespan; with children and young people in secondary education as well as teaching at Middlesex University for 3 years. She has supported adults living with atypical neurological issues, substance misuse, long-term health conditions and a vast range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, psychosis and personality disorders, as well as worked with older adults living with dementia.
Her experience is complimented by a background in art, photography and fashion with an initial degree in graphic design.
