Dr. Ade-Serrano is a BPS chartered Counselling Psychologist and an HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist who has been in the field of psychotherapy for over 2 decades. She is primarily in independent practice and has additional clinical experience within the NHS, Voluntary Sectors, Prison Service to name a few. She is a mentor, visiting lecturer, an external examiner on DPsych training programmes as well as a clinical supervisor.
She is the outgoing Chair of the British Psychological Society (BPS) - Division of Counselling Psychology and co-editor of the book; Applied Psychology and Allied Professions Working with Ethnic Minorities.
Her clinical interests include self-exploration and growth, black women’s identity, African Psychology and Spirituality, how individuals and communities make meaning and working with race and difference across cultures.
